# Clarification on Free 8thWall Plan and Project Key Requirement

Hi everyone,

I’m trying out 8thWall with PlayCanvas and noticed that there’s a **Free** plan listed on the 8thWall pricing page:

> **FREE** – $0 per project/month  
> Create 3D games and XR apps with 8th Wall for free and publish with a branded splash screen.

I went ahead and created a project under the free tier. However, it doesn’t show the **App Key** tab at all, which seems required to integrate with PlayCanvas.

My question is:  
👉 **Is the App Key available with the free plan, or do I need to purchase a paid plan to get access to it?**  
If it’s supposed to be free, where can I find or generate the App Key?

Also, if the key requires a paid license, then what’s the point of offering a “free” tier? For indie developers just looking to build quick POC demos, the cost becomes a barrier.
