Is it possible to generate an image target at runtime?

Use case:

We take a photo of whatever the user is seeing (we don’t know in advance what that is) and we use that as an image target inside 8thwall.

I know we can switch the active image targets but don’t know how to generate + add an image target at runtime.

Unfortunately, creating image targets at runtime is not currently possible.

Are you sure? I just found the following API that seems to be doing just that:

> **[Platform API: Image Targets | 8th Wall](https://www.8thwall.com/docs/api/platform-api/)**
>
> The 8th Wall Image Target Management API enables developers to dynamically manage the image target

You’ll need a secret key to pass [authentication](https://www.8thwall.com/docs/api/platform-api/#authentication), which isn’t currently available.

It says it available to Enterprise users on the website? So that’s not true?

Yes, that’s correct—it’s only available to customers on the enterprise plan, which is no longer offered. I’ll bring this up with the team to consider enabling it for other tiers in the future.
