Hi there,

I might just be being dense, but I can’t seem to work out how this was done?

I understand that there was image tracking used, which covered up the real world painted section. But what is stumping me is when the camera moves away from the image target, while the 3D experience stays tracked?

At the moment, all I can think of would be to use a VPS experience so that the general environment is used as the track. But this demo came out with just the Image Tracking release, sooooo…

Any support or direction would be great, thank you!

Hi @Matthew_van_Niekerk! Yes, I made this by copying the transform of the detected image target to the world-tracked fish object (AKA not a child of the image target).

here are two projects that use a similar technique to position world tracking objects via image target position:

- [Image Target to SLAM | 8th Wall | 8th Wall](https://www.8thwall.com/8thwall/image-target-to-slam-aframe/code/physics-image-target.js#L78)
- [A-Frame: Curved + SLAM | 8th Wall | 8th Wall](https://www.8thwall.com/8thwall/curved-slam/code/components.js#L18)

Ah! Great!

Thank you so much, this helps a lot!
Looking forward to trying something similar out
