# Invalid appKey with VPS Enabled in Simulator

Hello,
Since I started using 8thWall studio with VPS enable, I am unable to test properly the work in the simulator. I always get an error message Invalid appKey.
It seems to work on mobile but it’s not a good process to debug.
Can you help me

Hello,
I shared my project called “vps-test2”
To trigger the error you need:
- Play (simulator)
- Select location “Mémorial Du Parc Saint Maur”
The error invalid appKey will be displayed

I’m not seeing the Invalid App Key error, however one of your components is having an issue getting a reference to XR8 so it’s causing a white screen.
I would ensure that the XR8 reference is valid before running anything related to it, and see if you get the App Key Error after logging out and clearing your browser’s cache and cookies as well since it could be related to some bad state in the browser.
