# Issue with Transparent Images in Niantic Studio

Hi everyone, good morning!

I’m using splats scanned with the new app **Scaniverse** , and when I import them into **Niantic Studio** , I’m encountering an issue. I can’t place transparent images in front of the splat—whether as a material or as a UI Element (image). Instead of displaying correctly, the transparency gets blurred, cutting off the background that should remain visible.

Is there anything I can do to improve this? I’ve attached a couple of screenshots for reference.

Do you still see the same issue when placing a 3D model behind the “Spot” object? Transparency and Splats don’t play very nicely together at the moment. I’ll make sure the engineering team gets a nudge on this issue.
