i’m trying to overlay captures i’ve made with scaniverse on a map. however, the scale of the capture and the map are different. what’s the best way to handle this?

Hi, welcome to the forums!

Can you show a video or image of the misalignment you’re seeing?

the building that is visible should rotate approximately -90 on the Y (vertical) axis, and its dimensions are much larger than the map.

Can you adjust the scale of the Splat so it closer matches the expected dimensions?

Are you trying to get the Splat to perfectly match the size of the map point? I just want to make sure I’m fully understanding what you’re aiming to achieve. Could you share a bit more detail about the result you’re going for? 🙂

I usually analyze scaniverse captures on cloudcompare but I was looking for a way to display the results on a map.
What’s available is great, but I was surprised by the scale issue, as I’ve always understood that scaniverse generates full-scale models.

As far as I know the captures are relative to the device and not the world. This seems like it might be a better question for the Scaniverse forums though. 🤔
