Hi,
I’m new to 8thwall.
I was trying to place my first image on a plane in a hello world project I just created.
I’m receiving an error message that says “Unsupported file Type: Image”
I’m not sure what’s the problem. I was trying several types of images (.jpg, .png …) with multiple images but nothing is working. I’m not sure what’s the issue. The last file I tried was a 600x600 jpg image of 200kb. Thanks.
Hi! Welcome to the forums!
I’ve uploaded many pngs, and jpgs without issue. Could you share the image you’re trying to upload?
Are there any errors in the browser console when you try to submit the bug report?
Hi! Are you still experiencing an issue here?
Hey there! I am having the same issue here right now. I have tried with png and jpg formats and none of them worked.
Hi, welcome to the forums!
You’re attempting to add the image file directly to the scene. You have to add the image as an Image Target by clicking the “Image Targets” button to the right of the “Files” tab you’re currently on.
Thanks! I am not very familiar with 3d world, so sorry in advance if I am being too complex. But my image targ is already defined for this project. Actually, i want to anchor an image and a video to appear when my target is loaded. Would you help me with that?
Oh that’s even easier. Remember that in 3D images can’t exist on their own they must be a texture applied to a geometry in the space.
Here’s a video I recorded for you: https://youtu.be/jghYD_9StPM
