We are building an 8th Wall experience, and it works fine in some devices.
It works fine on mine for instance - iPhone 11 Pro Max with 256gb.
It loads perfectly, absolutely no issues.
However, a person from my client’s team, using Safari on a recently bought iPhone 15, gets to the “Tap to Place” screen to start the experience, taps and absolutely nothing happens.
Two other people from my client’s team reported the same error, but on Chrome mobile and Edge mobile.
Apparently it works just fine for them on Safari.
How do we investigate this issue and what could potentially be happening?
Hello @Ely_Santos a great initial test is to have those experiencing problems to also open our basic 8th Wall project here and see if they run into the same problem
This will help us pinpoint if it is project specific or device specific. Also, any console logs or error messages that come up when this happens would be very helpful for our team to better understand what the problems could be.
Also the device type, iOS or android version, browser, etc. would be helpful information. Thank you.
Turns out she had an option on her Safari of “Always Requesting Desktop” version of websites.
Therefore, 8th Wall just simply didn’t work.
Could be an interesting problem for you guys to evaluate, because some users might have this option enabled by standard for all websites (just like this one did), and then 8th Wall doesn’t work, 'cause it’s not supposed to work for desktop.
We’ve faced the same issue where if a user that has “Always Requesting Desktop” option enabled on Safari it breaks the AR experience since 8thwall prevents it from working on Desktop.
