Is it possible / has anyone tried integrating Google’s VPS with 8th wall? Is this theoretically even possible?
Can you share a link to the documentation? Have you considered using Lightship VPS instead?

Thanks for chiming in. We have used Lightship VPS as well as Immersal’s and Aug City’s VPS etc. But they don’t have the capabilities we are looking for. We don’t have anything built yet. Just trying to figure out if it’s even possible to integrate Google’s VPS with 8th Wall.
Can you share a link to the API documentation? Happy to look it over and help determine if it’s feasible.

they list instructions for iOS and android integration. but wondering if there is a work around that would enable it to be integrated with 8th wall.
Ah, I see – ARCore is a native SDK. As far as I know the Geospatial API is not available for the web, but you can double check with the ARCore community.
On the web, I believe the only way to interact with ARCore is by using WebXR. WebXR only provides a small subset of ARCore functionality and will only work on the Google Chrome browser on Android devices.

Google is one of the strongest supporters of WebXR and they have the most complete VPS… I think its a matter of time for google to make their VPS available on the web along with WebXR, only time will tell
