Hi!
I found this bug a long time ago that I wanted to report along a few suggestions.
On my profile or any creator profile the LinkedIn link points out to a URL that doesnt work, but I think might work for companies.
My linkedin link is as an individual there for is like this https://www.linkedin.com/in
in for the individual. companies use the company
https://www.linkedin.com/company/
So, mine and all creators that arenβt a company I think the link is broken.
This could be fixed by having a condition in the code to change the url to use the /in if the user toggles an button in the UI.
but I think this even is not the issue, the issue is that when you edit your profile.
The UX writing is not right for how the data how is set.
What I understood was, paste your link, but actually was asking for the user handle
It would be easy for me to put the custom link not the handle. but if handle is really what is meant for the βSocial Iinksβ name it like Social Handle.
check this, if there is nothing it ask for an URL
my linkedin url is
https://www.linkedin.com/in/srdiegoaguirre/
if I provide the URL for the profile, check where what URL it attempts to go (lower left corner)
So this proofs that what the input is expecting is the handle and not the URL, but what the UX writing ask for is the URL.
I wanted to report this that has been in my backlog for a while of the rare bugs found on the 8thwall platform.
Great work work overrall, had time I didnt enjoy so much coding! I was hard to build experiences complex experiences with node based visual scripting annd this was just what I was hoping to find for!
Hopefully this could be fixed later so people can find me and other people can find creators and devs on linkedin!
Thanks for everything
