Hi everyone, following last month’s sunset announcement, we’ve been working on tools to help you plan your next steps. Today we’re introducing Code Export, which lets you download a full snapshot of your project as it exists on 8th Wall.
Code Export includes:
- Code
- Assets
- Image Targets
This version is for immediate access and backups of your work as we move through the open source transition and to help as you explore other platforms. Please note this export is not yet buildable.
What’s next? Buildable Code Export.
In the coming weeks we’ll release an additional export option, Buildable Code Export. This will include everything needed to build and run your project offline:
- Project code + assets
- Image targets
- Build configuration
- XR Engine
- XR Extras
- Landing Page
However, a few cloud-dependent features or those we don’t have license to distribute such as:
- VPS/Maps
- Hand Tracking
- Modules/Backends
