Can We Walk in the Gaussian Splat of a Living Room and Update the Camera Accordingly?

Hello, I am using a Gaussian splat of a living room. Is it possible to walk inside the Gaussian splat and look around? Any help on how I could control the camera while walking would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

That sounds a lot like our Door Portal sample project!

Thank you, George, for getting back to me. When I play the Door Portal, I’m unable to walk to the other side of the portal and enter Stonehenge. Am I misunderstanding something?

That’s strange. If you look at the video in the README you can see the viewer walking through the door. What happens when you do it?

Yes, what the video shows is what I was looking for. However, when I connect my android phone, the camera is still and not moving when I walk. I also get an error in the console: " 1. :arrow_forward: Unhandled promise rejection: Error: [XR] Scale can only be changed before calling XR8.run()7:45:05 PM
2. Error: [XR] Scale can only be changed before calling XR8.run()"

Hello again, George. I tried the QR code from the Launch in the original project, as opposed to the QR code in the cloned version, and that works. Thank you for the help.

Great to hear that the sample project version is working. Can you provide some information about the browser and device you’re testing with? And have you made any changes to your cloned version of the project?

Hello George,

I did not make any changes to the cloned version of the Door Portal project, and I’m currently working on a new project following the same specs.

The camera seems to work for me when using the QR code from the Launch button,(after publishing the project), but it doesn’t work in the simulator when I connect the camera; I just get a still camera with black. To have a moving camera, I need to publish the project and use the QR code from the Launch button.

I might be missing something or doing something wrong, but at least it’s working in some way. I’m using a Galaxy A52.

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, there could be a specific privacy feature on the device or browser that’s blocking the development version from running correctly. I’ll see if we have that device and test with it. Which browser are you using?

I am using Google Chrome.
