Custom QR code to project, is it possible

Good day,

Can you create a custom QU code (client logo in QR) and connect it to an existing project?

Also if I publish a project, then go back months later and add more content. Is it possible to then when I publish the project will my previosue QR codes work?

I know 8thwall recycles there QR codes but I think that’s only for non published projects?

Billy

Hello @Bill_Sullivan

You can certainly create create your own custom QR codes (with a logo) that link to your project. We suggest having any printed URL or custom QR codes link to your short link so that you can change the shortlink destination once a project is finished if you would like. The QR code we provide you already redirects to the short link.

More information can be found here:

As long as the QR code links to your project you will be set. Keep in mind that for Starter plans direct URL access is not available.

Hey Tony,

Something to share with you.

I have multi lang project where I will finalize the english first, then we’ll make a copy and replace all english with french.

My issue is the client needs the french URL now to print on banners. I asked if it was possible to create a QR before the project is created but I was told I can’t but I could start a new project and then copy all my content from the english approved over. I didn’t want to do this as there is a lot of room for error.

SOLUTION

Create a custom QR code, and link that to a redirect on your website, then you can change the redirect any time to any destination. Sure it adds a second redirect but the advanages are worth it.
