I’m using GLB models with KTX2 texture compression. How can I load these into my studio project ?
As far as I know, Studio doesn’t currently support KTX2, but I’ll forward this to the team as a feature request. In the meantime, you can compress your textures using a tool like gltf.report.
Even if the Studio doesnt support ktx2, maybe there’s a way to load KTX2 texture loader module from three.js. The version of three.js inside the Studio, doesnt have it tho.
If someone can explain how to import a three.js KTX2Loader addon and grab local model URL to re-import it using KTX2Loader → that might be a work around for now.
