Hey everyone, we wanted to share an update with you directly.
After more than seven years of building WebAR together, 8th Wall will begin winding down in 2026. This isn’t easy news to share, but we want to give our community plenty of time and clarity as we move through the transition.
The most important part:
Your current hosted projects, campaigns, and live links will keep working through February 28, 2027.
Nothing changes today, and you don’t need to take any immediate steps.
Here are the key dates to keep in mind:
• Feb 28, 2026 – No more logins or edits
• Feb 28, 2026 to Feb 28, 2027 – Hosted experiences continue to run
• After Feb 28, 2027 – 8th Wall hosting shuts down
We’re also working to open source key pieces of 8th Wall so that the technology can continue to support developers long after the service shuts down. We’ll share more as those plans come together. In the next few weeks, we’ll also share details on how to export and transition your projects as needed.
