Niantic Studio updates broke prod build

Hello,

new updates have been made to the UI system in Niantic Studio.

I have a deployed build that was made for a client that is now broken because of these changes.

I thought there would be some kind of a versioning system to prevent this kind of thing from happening?

Is there any recourse here besides fixing everything?

I have flagged the issues with the UI update to support but they don’t seem to be able to replicate. I luckily only had a dev build that broke and then spent a day trying to work out what the issues was with the UI. I had nesting and position issues. You would think a published production build would be locked to that version - it’s worrying that a live build could break because of an update, I would email support as well: support@8thwall.com

Could you provide more information about the breaking changes that occurred so I can forward this to the engineering team? Describing the behavior before and after or screenshots would help.

Basically I’m experiencing artifacts everywhere im using images which was for text and buttons.

I dont have befores sorry, but I think it should be obvious from the photos what the problem is. It seems to have something to do with how the engine handles rendering elements whos rects dont match the aspect ratio of the image or something rather.

Ah, I definitely see the issue. Can you land your changes and share the project with the “support” workspace?

I’ve shared the project with support!
