Hi there - great to see the news about the new tier for Commercial licenses! Yesterday we purchased a Commercial license for our project which is being used at a morning event today (it has already started).
I configured the splash screen for our Studio project this morning, but the 8th Wall loading splash screen seems to have received a change to it and still appears on our experience before our own loader appears. I don’t think it’s a technical bug with how I implemented it, but open to that answer if it’s nothing to do with the updated 8th Wall loader
Unfortunately for us, it’s a professional networking event and it’s not so professional to have this up (specifically the reference to building a game) considering it’s a paid license. Any advice since the event has already started and will be over by the time we get some help?
IIRC, the Splash Screen is baked in at Build time. Can you try rebuilding your project and then landing and publishing? You can just add a comment to your code somewhere.
Yes, I landed & published several times this AM trying to “push” a new build thinking there was maybe a delay. The behaviour is noticeably different today than how it was last night after doing the Commercial license purchase republish and our clients noticed. This screen still appears at the time of this message, for half a second before our branded splash screen appears with loader & tap to begin onboarding message.
Hi there, we are looking at a commercial license for an upcoming project. Has this issue been resolved? Being able to customize/remove the default splash screen is very important.
Hi @GeorgeButler thanks for the update. Ok so it’s 999/mo to white label a project and that allows removal of ALL branding (default splash screen and footer logo) or just the default splash screen? Also, is the pro subscription also required to white label a project?
Thanks George, really appreciate the info here. One last question, if we are building a single promotional project on behalf of a large movie studio for a film. Would this require an enterprise license?
A custom plan is ideal for for brands, platforms, companies, and agencies. Required for companies making over $1 million USD in revenue. Integrate 8th Wall into your technology stack and marketing funnel with access to platform APIs and licenses.
