Self hosting projects after paid plan expires?

Hi,

My team is currently on an Enterprise plan and we are planning to self-host our project on our website. Our project is for educational use and makes use of the Lightship VPS maps module. We have a few questions regarding what happens after our paid plan expires:

  • Will our app still be usable on our site even after our plan expires?
  • Will our app maintain access to the Lightship maps module as well?
  • If we need to make any changes to the domain, VPS locations, etc, would we then need to re-purchase a license?

Hi Michael,

If your plan expires while you’re running a self-hosted project, your appkey will become invalid, causing your 8th Wall scripts—including any modules—to stop functioning.

Were you referring to a commercial license? You can make changes at any time without restrictions from the license.

My mistake, we don’t have a commercial license because it is for educational use only.

But from what I understand is that, for as long as we want our app to be playable by our users we would need to keep paying for our Enterprise plan to be active?

Is there any way to keep running our app after the plan expires? Even if we don’t expect to do further development work on the project?
