Tap To Place - replacing the spawned object

using this experience: A*-Frame: Tap to Place Ground | 8th Wall | 8th Wall*
I do not understand how to change the object from the cactus to something else in the js - could someone point me towards where define that?

Welcome to the forums!

All you need to do is modify the asset referenced in the tag.

You can find more details in the relevant AFrame documentation:

It might also be a good idea to rename the asset ID from “cactus” to something more fitting, just to stay organized, though it’s not strictly necessary.

thank you - I was missing where that was (total + literal newbie).

One more question, it seems my new object isn’t appearing in the preview window, though does seem to be appearing on the stage correctly. Would appreciate being oriented towards a possible reason, thank you!

Would you mind sharing a screenshot?

Sure thing - and thank you !
Attached is the screen shot

Actually, my apologies I figured it out! (didn’t hit build).
Looks like I need to spend more time playing and watching tutorials. Thank you so much (I love it!)

No worries! Glad you figured it out

yikes- one more stumbling block - I’ve published this with the cactus replaced with pumpkins, but when entering the game with scan or link it’s still cactus.

Did you land and publish your changes? They’re the buttons next to build.

yes, thought I did - this is what I made

If you click project history you can confirm if the changes we’re landed correctly.

here’s what mine looks like (tried to re land and publish it just in case)

Looks like it’s working

woot! thank you so much - I must have missed that land button
