VPS recognition distance

Hello. I have read in documentation and seen in examples that I should be able to scan objects with Scaniverse in a distance from 0 to 10m and then, the objects should be recognized from even bigger distance (example video with building recognition here Niantic’s VPS: Precise Cross-Platform Localization | Niantic Spatial, Inc. ).

In reality, my team has issues with scanning objects that are further than 2m (using newest iPhones with Lidar).
Then there is also an issue that we can not recognize objects from bigger distances (5m, 10m, 20m) using VPS even though they were properly scanned.

Do you have any ideas how to improve that? What can be possibly done incorrect?

Hi, Welcome to the forum!

This would be a better question for the Lightship VPS forum. Additionally I reccomend checking out our video on best Scanning practices which sheds light onto how to best capture scans of different locations.
