There’s a waypoint I’m looking to create that would be essential to our AR experience. When I place the marker in the geospatial browser to create a new public location, I can see that there are duplicates of the same location that have been rejected. I can’t tell why they have been rejected, the marker meets the requirements of being a permanent physical object in an identifiable place safe and publicly accessible by pedestrians and the title, description (though minimal), and photo are accurate.
The guide says that a waypoint will be rejected for being a duplicate of an existing or previously rejected location, but I don’t see any reason why this marker would not be allowed. It’s the most fixed and identifiable marker in this particular area and fits all the criteria that would make for a strong scan.
One such rejected location is Union Street Timeline. Denver Union Station, Denver, CO 80202, USA 39.753 -105.000
