I was working on my own scavenger hunt using the 8th wall template. After publishing it the first time everything went well. Afterwards, however, no matter how many times I implemented changes and landed + published the project - every time I tried accessing it on my phone it showed my first published version.
Hi, welcome to the forums!
Can you share your project with the support
workspace so I can take a look?
I did - would be very grateful for your support!
It looks like your project should be updating correctly. Perhaps it’s because your project entry point is set to “AR Scene” when typically you’d want it to be World Map?
I’ve done some testing by adding a component that logs a message and have published twice with your project. The component logs are what I would expect and show us that the project is being updated correctly. Can you provide a bit more information about how you’re determining the project isn’t being updated?
It loads the map now correctly as entry space, however, I still have an issue: the Map Points I added to the map are not appearing even if I am physically at the correct location with my mobile phone (it works in the simulator). Sadly I can not test the map with the debug QR code, since in the debug mode the scene doesn’t ask for my phones gps. Or it doesn’t update it I always stay at the standard start position of the map template.
Anyways: than you so much for your continous support!
No worries!
Can you try by turning OFF “Use GPS” and turning ON “WASD Movement” and using WASD to move around the map? You should be able to find your locations that way on the world map.
When I set my coordinates in the Simulator to those of your location, I’m able to see it.
Yes it works perfectly in the simulator. But on my phone it doesnt’t. When I am at the real world location and open the web app, it doesn’t show any of the map points at all.
And when I want to debug the app on my phone it does not show the player at the correct gps location but rather somewhere in California. I live in Austria.
We’re looking into issues related to VPS right now. Thanks!
