scale - scaniverse vs studio

i’m trying to overlay captures i’ve made with scaniverse on a map. however, the scale of the capture and the map are different. what’s the best way to handle this?

Hi, welcome to the forums!

Can you show a video or image of the misalignment you’re seeing?

the building that is visible should rotate approximately -90 on the Y (vertical) axis, and its dimensions are much larger than the map.

I captured the front of this building

Can you adjust the scale of the Splat so it closer matches the expected dimensions?

yes, I can adjust without precision. but I didn’t expect that

Are you trying to get the Splat to perfectly match the size of the map point? I just want to make sure I’m fully understanding what you’re aiming to achieve. Could you share a bit more detail about the result you’re going for?

I usually analyze scaniverse captures on cloudcompare but I was looking for a way to display the results on a map.
What’s available is great, but I was surprised by the scale issue, as I’ve always understood that scaniverse generates full-scale models.

As far as I know the captures are relative to the device and not the world. This seems like it might be a better question for the Scaniverse forums though.
