Surface switching in AR

Hi all,

Experiencing an issue where I am placing a model down in a room with some tables. At first, the floorโ€™s surface is correctly detected, and the model is placed on the floor as desired. After a few movements / camera shakes, however, a new surface detection takes place and the tables become the new plane on which the object rests. Is there any way I can prevent this, or limit the amount of surface redetection that takes place in my experience?

Hi @Nicholas_D_Agosto,

8th Wallโ€™s engine works a bit differently than you may be used to working with ARKit/ARCore in the past. Essentially your scene is a single planar surface (Y=0) that is anchored to the primary surface in the space around you (floor, table, etc). If you move around, things can โ€œshiftโ€ / โ€œjumpโ€
