Transition from A-Frame to Niantic Studio

Hi,
We are excited to start using and teaching with Niantic Studio. Just a couple questions:

  • How long will support for the original cloud editor and A-Frame continue? We have projects using them through Summer '25.
  • What’s the best guide or sample project to look at for transitioning custom code and components into Studio?

Hi Jeff!

You don’t need to worry about losing support with our cloud editor. I wouldn’t say there’s a best sample project since Studio is still in beta, however I would encourage you to play with it and test out these sample projects:

Hey GB! I was wondering the same; so the new Editor will only work with 8th Web ECS vs AFrame? Or can we use AFrame/Playcanvas with the new Editor?

Hey! At this time the new editor, Studio, only supports 8th Wall ECS.
