Confusion regarding using a test location

Hello!
I’ve read the documentation a few times but I still don’t quite understand the purpose of a test scan. I might be expecting the wrong thing!
Should the resulting mesh actually work as a location marker for VPS or is that not the point of a test scan?
This is how far we got! We made a test scan with Scaniverse and added this into our Studio project.

When making a test build and walking to the location I don’t seem to get a positive found solve on the location, the earth model and red block are not appearing on my phone’s screen.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to the forums!

You’re doing everything correct! The key difference I think you’re missing about the Simulator and the live experience on the phone is that the simulator won’t automatically “Find” or “Lose” the location. On the device this happens automatically using computer vision and the camera feed however the simulator requires you to press the Found and Lost buttons at the bottom to simulate these events.

TLDR; Click the Found button to see your cube.

Thank you!
And thanks for the reply!
What I mean to say is that I build the project and opened it on my phone and physically walked to the location of the test scan.
When opening the webapp on my phone using the projects public link I don’t see anything happen after the loading screen. I do see the camera feed fullscreen but not any of the 3d objects

If you’re using the public link you’ll want to make sure you land your changes. Did you land your changes and then test the published version? Alternatively you could test the QR code from the simulator.
