I’m working on an AR project where I want the experience to only happen in a specific area, such as a designated small area of a giant room. The concept is for users to see virtual objects when they’re within this area, or to only see the objects in the area even if they’re slightly outside of it.
I’m looking for advice on the best technical approach to achieve this. Should I use geofencing, image tracking, or some kind of spatial AR solution in 8th Wall?
Any suggestions or guidance on how to implement this would be greatly appreciated!
The AR project is for an indoor installation, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a temporary, private VPS (Visual Positioning System) scan specifically for this setup. Does anyone know how to do this?
Hi! Yes, you can create a private VPS location, and in this case, that’s actually the best approach. Public VPS locations must go through an approval process, and one of the criteria is that the location must be publicly accessible.
