Hello, I scanned an object in splats to view in AR using scanniverse. I have cropped out the unnecessary surroundings to only have the scanned object. I exported to .spz and imported into Niantic studio. I realized the imported spz file comes with a grayish background, so the object shows with a gray background, not showing the object overlaid in reality when testing in AR. Is there a way to see only the cropped .spz export in AR? Thank you.
Hi @design-tech - welcome to the forums!
Make sure Skybox is set to None in the Space Settings:
You can get to the Space Settings by clicking empty space in the viewport or by clicking Settings at the top of the inspector panel.
Also, make sure your camera is configured correctly β type should be set to World and mobile to AR.
Hi Evan, thank you for your reply.
Even with the settings applied, I still see a black background when using the simulator. Please see the image below. When I test with a simple cube, I can see the sidewalk environment correctly.
Hi George, thank you for your reply. Here is the current setting. When placing a simple cube and hiding the imported .spz, the sidewalk environment shows correctly. But when i turn back on the .spz, the environment shows in black.
Could you land your changes and share your project with the support
workspace?
Hi George, were you able to take a look at the project? Thank you.
Iβve forwarded this to our engineering team, and theyβve let me know that this isnβt expected and is a result of a bug.
