I have an exhibition in another city. I would need to make sure it’s on the VPS map ahead of time. From what I’ve seen, you have to go in person and submit a bunch of scans before it’s even approved. Is there any way to handle this remotely so I don’t need to make an additional trip? (Or does it usually not take too long for the location to get approved once you submit the scans)?
Hi @Hilary_Tsai - to add a public location to the Niantic map, you need to:
- Nominate the location from the Geospatial Browser
- Scan the location 10+ times
- Activate the location from the Geospatial Browser
You can nominate the location ahead of time remotely using the Geospatial Browser. After you complete the in-person scanning process, activation is typically completed within 4 hours.
